Monsanto starts cotton research facility
Monsanto has begun constructing a US cotton breeding and research facility in Lubbock, Texas. The Monsanto Texas Cotton Research Center will be built on a 12.2 acre (4.9 ha) site within the Lubbock Economic Development Alliance Business Park. It will house about 20 employees. The new facility complements Monsanto’s cotton programmes in Texas at Haskell and Hale Center, the company points out.
