US approval for BASF's Headline AMP
BASF has received US approval for the fungicide, Headline AMP (pyraclostrobin 146 g/litre + Kureha’s metconazole 55 g/litre), for use on maize. The product is effective against a range of foliar diseases and helps maximise yields, the company says. The EPA sanctioned BASF’s plant health claims for pyraclostrobin earlier this year ( Agrow No 561, p 19). The company introduced a pyraclostrobin/metconazole combination for small-grain cereals in 2008 ( Agrow No 557, p 22).
