Task force fights on to secure DPA in EU

The industry task force set up to support the fungicide, diphenylamine (DPA), through the EU review says that it plans to resubmit an application for approval of the active ingredient. The move follows the European Commission’s decision not to re-register DPA. The Commission went ahead with its decision after EU Ministers were unable to agree on whether to accept or reject the Commission’s proposals on the ai in July ( Agrow No 572, p 9). DPA is used to prevent scald in apples and pears.
