Bayer/AgraQuest biopesticide deal
The US biopesticide company, AgraQuest (Davis, California), and Bayer CropScience have agreed to collaborate on the introduction of biofungicides to the US garden pesticide market. AgraQuest will manufacture and package two products for Bayer based on AgraQuest’s Bacillus subtilis strain QST 713. They will be sold under the new Natria line from Bayer’s US consumer products business, Bayer Advanced. A ready-to-use bottle and a hose-end bottle product will be available next year. B subtilis strain QST 713 has been sold as Serenade for agricultural use for nearly a decade.
