China to work with MNCs on environment, safety and health
Chinese pesticide companies are to increase co-operation with multinationals in the area of environment, safety and health (ESH), reports CropLife China and the China Crop Protection Industry Association (CCPIA). The organisations held a pesticide industry ESH discussion forum in December in Yangzhou, Jiangsu province, to improve the ESH facilities and awareness of the Chinese pesticide industry. The seminar was attended by the ESH supervisors of multinationals such as Syngenta, Bayer Cropscience, Dow Agrosciences, BASF and FMC. The chairman of the CCPIA, Luo Haizhang, noted that the implementation of an ESH system would be beneficial to pesticide companies, helping transform their management philosophy and improve manufacturing capability.
