France rules in favour of access to GMO trial locations

The French council of state (Conseil d'Etat) has rejected an appeal by the city council in Sausheim (Haute-Alsace) to overturn an earlier ruling that made the release of information about the locations of trials of genetically modified crops mandatory, reports French newswire Agrisalon.com. The council of state is reported to have stated that the administrative authority holding information about the location of a GMO trial is required to communicate it immediately and unconditionally, to any person who requests it.
