Groups highlight probable carcinogen found in children's bath products

A coalition of U.S. health and environmental groups seeking to eliminate hazardous chemicals from consumer products, joined by environmentalist David Steinman, last week released the results of laboratory testing that found trace amounts of the chemical 1,4-Dioxane — considered a probable human carcinogen and a definite animal carcinogen by the U.S. government — in various children's and adults' shampoos and body washes.
