Advisory board lowers level of concern of certain bisphenol A effects

The National Toxicology Program's Board of Scientific Counselors has “minimal” concern that current levels of exposure to bisphenol A in fetuses, infants and children may cause adverse mammary gland effects and early onset puberty — a lower level of concern than proposed by NTP's Center for the Evaluation of Risks to Human Reproduction (CERHR), which has said there is “some” concern for such effects.
