MAI sales up a third in first quarter
Makhteshim-Agan Industries’ (MAI) sales rose by a third in the first quarter of 2008. The company posted a 33.3% rise in agrochemical revenues to a record $673.1 million. Chairman of the board and CEO Avraham Bigger says that the positive crop protection market trends of last year have continued. “In the first quarter, Makhteshim continued to demonstrate its engrained growth capabilities, capitalising on favourable weather conditions and strong demand in the crop protection sector,” Mr Bigger adds.
