Brazil agchem market suffers early fall
The Brazilian agrochemical market fell in the first two months of 2009 by 13% to R$1,403 million ($625 million at the current rate), according to early estimates from the Brazilian agrochemical industry trade association, the Sindag. Only sales of fungicides among the product segments were up, its market information chief, Ivan Amancio Sampaio, says. February saw a slight recovery. A lack of credit hit sales, industry figures say.
