Bayer debuts Sphere Max on Brazil’s soybeans
Bayer CropScience has launched its fungicide, Sphere Max (trifloxystrobin 375 g/litre + cyproconazole 160 g/litre), in Brazil for use on soybeans. Sphere Max was approved for use on soybeans and coffee in Brazil last year ( Agrow No 552, p 22). Sphere Max is a suspension concentrate formulation for use against Asian soybean rust ( Phakopsora pachyrhizi) and mildews. Bayer includes among the product’s advantages against other fungicides, its wider distribution over the surface of the plant, faster penetration, avoiding run-off, and its lower required application rates.
