Latin American ventures boost Isagro's fourth quarter
The Italian agrochemical company, Isagro (Milan), registered a 13.7% rise in fourth-quarter sales to Euro 54 million ($69.6 million). Like-for-like sales were down in the Brazilian market, but Isagro's new subsidiaries helped to boost final quarter sales. The contribution from the new South American subsidiaries in the second half of the year offset revenue falls elsewhere, the company says. The Americas region accounted for 36% of Isagro's fourth-quarter sales, compared with 31% in the same period in 2005.
