EdenShield launches products on fundraising
Israeli crop protection company EdenShield (Misgav) has raised over $1 million to expand its business and launch its first products. It is launching two products and seeks to establish a distribution network as well as take on staff. The products are plant extract-based odour-masking technologies that lower the attraction of insects to crops in greenhouses. Net is applied to greenhouse screens and Direct is applied directly to greenhouse flowers and medical cannabis plants. They control thrips, whiteflies, red spider mites (Tetranychus urticae) and tomato leaf miners (Tuta absoluta). The products are suited to homes and gardens and can be applied alone or as part of an IPM programme. EdenShied was established in 2012 as part of The Trendlines Group's Trendlines Agtech business. The fundraising was carried out through a crowdfunding platform.
