Andermatt takes over Madumbi in Africa
Swiss biopesticide firm Andermatt Biocontrol’s (Grossdietwil) has taken control of South African biological farming products company Madumbi Sustainable Agriculture (Pietermaritzburg). It follows the purchase of 21% of the African company’s shares, taking Andermatt’s holding to a majority 61%. Madumbi supplies biorational products in seven southern African countries including South Africa. Madumbi acquired a majority stake in Andermatt Biocontrol’s South African subsidiary, Andermatt South Africa, in 2011.
