Certis USA starts Kocide distribution
Mitsui & Co's US subsidiary, Certis USA (Columbia, Maryland), has begun distributing the copper fungicides, Kocide (copper hydroxide) and ManKocide (copper hydroxide + mancozeb), in the US. Mitsui acquired the global business from DuPont in December 2014 through a newly established subsidiary, Kocide. The fungicides are manufactured at the former DuPont facility in Houston, Texas. They are being made available to dealers and growers from various Certis USA warehouses throughout the US, including a new third-party warehouse relationship in Lima, Ohio to serve the Great Lakes region. "The Kocide copper products complement Certis USA's already expansive line of biopesticides and other biorational products," says product manager Dennis Long. "Trusted brands like Kocide allow Certis USA to further expand its footprint into the US specialty crop protection market," he adds.
