US exemption for Cheminova's Topguard
The US EPA has granted an emergency exemption to allow the use of Danish company Cheminova's fungicide, Topguard (flutriafol), to control cotton root rot (Phymatotrichum omnivorum) in the state of Texas. The exemption runs from February 1st until June 30th. It is the fourth year running that the Agency has granted such an exemption. Cheminova markets flutriafol as Topguard for use on pome and stone fruit, and in combination with fluoxastrobin, as Fortix, for use on maize and soybeans.
