Large response to EU consultation on ED strategy
A total of 27,087 responses were submitted to the European Commissions’ public consultation on its strategy for identifying and regulating endocrine disruptors (EDs) in agrochemicals and non-crop pesticides. The consultation outlined various options for dealing with EDs, and closed in January. Of the total responses, 22,411 were received via the online survey, and comprised 863 from organisations and 21,548 from individuals. The rest were sent via email. Over 25,000 of the replies were submitted through online campaigns requesting individuals to sign prepared responses. The Commission has published the replies, with the exception of just under 5,000 on grounds of confidentiality. It plans to prepare a summary report once the replies have been assessed.
