Dhanuka up 7% in third quarter
Indian agrochemical company Dhanuka Agritech recorded a net sales rise of 7.2% to Rs 1,790.4 million ($29.1 million at the current rate) in its third quarter ended December 31st 2014. Net profit was up by 3.4% to Rs 220 million ($3.6 million). Nine-month sales rose 8.6% to Rs 6,371 million ($103.5 million). Buoyed by the 25.9% increase during the first half of the year, net profit for the nine months grew by 19.1% to Rs 841.8 million ($13.7 million). “Despite adverse agro-climatic conditions during this fiscal, Dhanuka Agritech continues to deliver superior performance,” points out chairman R G Agarwal. He expects the launch of the herbicide, Sempra (halosulfuron-methyl), in sugar cane to contribute to future growth.
