Canada OKs DuPont's Travallas herbicide
DuPont has received Canadian approval for a cereal herbicide based on a combination of established active ingredients. Travallas (metsulfuron-methyl + thifensulfuron-methyl + fluroxypyr) is for the control of broadleaf weeds in spring wheat, durum wheat and spring barley. Weeds controlled include Canada thistle (Cirsium arvense), dandelions (Taraxacum officinale), kochia (Kochia scoparia), cleavers (Galium aparine), wild buckwheat (Polygonum convolvulus) and hemp nettle (Galeopsis tetrahit). The product provides a new choice in high-performance weed control in a unique liquid formulation, DuPont points out.
