French approval for Andermatt’s Madex Twin
Swiss biopesticide firm Andermatt Biocontrol (Grossdietwil) has received French approval for its bioinsecticide, Madex Twin (Cydia pomonella granulovirus). Madex Twin controls codling moths (C pomonella) and oriental fruit moths (Grapholita molesta), leaving zero residues and being absolutely harmless to non-target organisms, Andermatt says. It has been approved for use on pome fruits, stone fruits and walnuts. The product is already registered in Switzerland, Ukraine, Russia, Lebanon, the US and Uruguay.
