Brazil agchem industry bodies OK recycling monitoring
The Brazilian pesticide and fertiliser industry association, the Andav, is to extend its work with the national pesticide container recycling body, the inpEV, collecting data on the quality and work of empty pesticide package receiving stations. It will provide information on licensing, documentation, and health and safety for workers of such centres in Sao Paulo state. The association visited 50 stations in 2014, lead co-ordinator Sandra Mantelatto notes. “We travelled some 15,000 km allowing us to visit all areas where receiving centres are stationed. At the end of which we produced a quality report based on what we analysed at those centres,” she says.
