ECHA data sharing guide for biocide suppliers
The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) has issued a set of guidelines on data sharing for companies seeking an entry on the official list of suppliers of biocidal active ingredients and products in the EU, including non-crop pesticides. The list is part of the implementation of the EU biocidal products Regulation (528/2012). By September 2015, products cannot be sold unless the relevant ai supplier or product supplier is on the list. The four practical guides particularly aim to help small- and medium-sized companies to meet this deadline. To be included in the list, companies must either provide, or have proof of access to, the relevant registration data. Last December, the ECHA issued updated guidance on the requirements for applications, and reminded companies to allow enough time for data-sharing negotiations.
