Andermatt opens Brazilian subsidiary
Swiss company Andermatt BioControl (Grossdietwil) has set up a Brazilian subsidiary, Andermatt do Brasil. The company began operations in January from Curitiba in Parana state. The subsidiary seeks to supply “novel biological product solutions” for large-scale grain producers as well as for specialty crops and the intensive fruit and vegetable market. The product range includes biopesticides and plant nutrition solutions. Andermatt is setting up subsidiaries and acquiring shares in established biopesticide companies as part of its global expansion project. It opened a Dutch subsidiary last year, and acquired a South African business earlier this year.
