Canada to OK DuPont seed treatment
The Canadian Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA) has proposed full approval for DuPont's fungicidal seed treatment, DPX-YT669 250 FS (picoxystrobin), for the control of soil- and seed-borne diseases on canola, rapeseed, mustard, soybeans and maize. It would introduce a new active ingredient and an alternative product to this market sector, the PMRA notes. Picoxystrobin was registered in Canada in 2012 as Acapela for foliar and soil applications. The latest proposed approval is open to public comment until April 13th.
