Sumitomo to integrate pest control operations
Sumitomo Chemical is to integrate the vector control division of its health and crop sciences business into a reorganised environmental health division from April 1st. The existing environmental health division is focused on household insecticides and other insect control products, including those for pest control operators. The vector control division was created in 2008 in response to the rapid expansion of Sumitomo's insecticidal Olyset mosquito nets. The integration of the businesses will stimulate product innovations and enable expansion into various markets, Sumitomo points out.
