BASF/Monsanto tackle weed resistance in Canada

Monsanto and BASF are collaborating in western Canada to promote the use of herbicides with different modes of action to combat resistant weeds. They are recommending tank mixes of Monsanto's Roundup Transorb HC (glyphosate) with BASF's Heat LQ (saflufenacil - trade-marked as Kixor) or Distinct (diflufenzopyr + dicamba). "Using herbicides with multiple modes of action is critical to delaying resistance and will help maximise yield potential," says BASF's western Canada herbicides brand manager, Danielle Eastman.
