California approval for Adama's Nimitz

ChemChina subsidiary Adama Agricultural Solutions has received approval for its new nematicide, Nimitz (fluensulfone 480 g/litre), in the US state of California. It is for use on fruiting and cucurbit vegetables including tomatoes, peppers, eggplants (aubergines), okra, cucumbers, melons and squash. "Nimitz has the potential to bring safety and simplicity to the nematode control arena, which is constantly under increasing regulatory pressure," the company says. Adama received federal US approval for Nimitz in September 2014 and state approval in Florida in November. The company has applied to the EPA for approval on potatoes, strawberries, carrots, tobacco and turf.
