Industry slams WHO agchem carcinogen findings

Agrochemical industry representatives have roundly condemned a decision by the UN WHO's International Agency for Research on Cancer (IACR) to classify the herbicide, glyphosate, and four organophosphate insecticides as probable or possible human carcinogens. The IACR has classified glyphosate, malathion and diazinon as probably carcinogenic (Group 2A) and tetrachlorvinphos and parathion as possibly carcinogenic (Group 2B) to humans.
