Canada to OK Andermatt's Loopex

The Canadian Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA) has proposed full registration of Swiss company Andermatt Biocontrol's (Grossdietwil) viral insecticide, Loopex (Autographa californica nucleopolyhedrovirus strain FV11), for the control of cabbage loopers (Trichoplusia ni) on greenhouse-grown cucumbers, peppers and tomatoes. It is for foliar use at 7-14 day intervals and represents a new mode of action against cabbage loopers, the PMRA notes. The product is one of three new viral insecticides from Andermatt Biocontrol being considered the US. The Canadian registration decision is open to public comment until May 4th.
