Syngenta/Stockton agree Timorex Gold Argentine deal
Israeli biopesticide company Stockton has agreed a distribution deal with Syngenta in Argentina for its Melaleuca alternifolia extract-based biofungicide, Timorex Gold. Syngenta Argentina will exclusively market and distribute the product in the country, and work with Stockton to ensure the marketing and technical development of the registered uses for Timorex Gold, as well as its expansion to any other markets that require it. Argentine approval for Timorex Gold covers the control of grey mould (Botrytis cinerea)on strawberries and powdery mildew in tomatoes and peppers. The companies say that the biofungicide will complement Syngenta’s fungicide portfolio as part of IPM and insect resistance management programmes. Syngenta already distributes Timorex Gold in Chile and Mexico.
