Iharabras unveils bioinsecticide in Brazil
The Brazilian agrochemical joint venture, Iharabras (Sorocaba), has presented its latest bioinsecticide, Bt-based Costar, in Brazil. The water-dispersible granule formulation is for the control of soybean loopers (Pseudoplusia includens). The company unveiled the product among others at the Show Safra BR 163 event in Mato Grosso this month. They included Mitsui & Co subsidiary Certis USA’s viral bioinsecticide, Gemstar (Helicoverpa zea nucleopolyhedrovirus), which Iharabras launched last year, for the control of earworms (Helicoverpa spp). The company recently launched a division dedicated to biological crop protection products.
