Canada OKs Sumitomo's momfluorothrin
The Canadian Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA) has granted full approval to four non-agricultural insecticides based on Sumitomo Chemical's new pyrethroid, momfluorothrin. MGK 29871, MGK 29872 and Momfluorothrin Flying and Crawling Insect Killer Spray combine momfluorothrin with the established pyrethroid, d-phenothrin. MGK 29831 combines momfluorothrin with the synergist, piperonyl butoxide. They are for the control of ants, cockroaches, flies and spiders found indoors and outdoors at residential applications. The PMRA proposed the approvals in October 2014.
