Syngenta/IVCC identify new ai for mosquito control
Syngenta and UK-based not-for-profit organisation Innovative Vector Control Consortium (IVCC - Liverpool) have achieved a “breakthrough in mosquito control” that will help protect communities at risk from malaria and other life-threatening diseases. This is the first development of a new public health insecticide in 30 years, the companies say. Syngenta scientists have identified “a novel insecticide active ingredient”, which is being progressed into early development. It could prove highly effective in controlling insecticide-resistant adult mosquitoes and preventing the spread of disease.
