Expanded US approval for Vestaron's Versitude
The US biopesticide company, Vestaron (Kalamazoo, Michigan), has received extended US approval for its GS-omega/kappa-Hxtx-Hv1a peptide (trade-marked as Versitude)-based bioinsecticide, VST-006330 EP, for use against more insect pests on a wider range of crops. The label expansion covers greenhouse and field use alone and in mixture with Bt-based bioinsecticides, and home and garden use. Pests controlled include caterpillars, beetles and thrips. The company plans to introduce the product as Spear later this year. Vestaron received US approval for the bioinsecticide last year.
