EFSA guide on assessment of ais in soil

The European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) has issued guidance for the exposure assessment of soil organisms to agrochemical active ingredients. It applies to annual field crops under conventional and reduced tillage, and offers methods to predict the concentrations of ais and their transformation products in soil. Such information is used in the EU evaluation of ecotoxicological effects of pesticides. The document provides guidance for all types of concentrations that may be needed for the evaluation, such as levels in total soil and levels in pore water, allowing for various depths and time windows.
