EU agchem assessment formats updated
The European Commission has issued updated format templates for agrochemical product dossiers and the draft registration reports produced by EU member states after their evaluation of the applications. The new templates should be used from January 1st 2016 onwards for applications for new approvals, and amendments or renewals of authorisations. Previous versions of the templates can be used for applications to re-register products containing active ingredients renewed in the second round of the EU renewal programme (AIR-2). However, applicants may choose to use the new templates for such re-registrations if they wish, the Commission notes. The update is part of the ongoing programme to switch from old data requirements under the EU agrochemical registration Directive (91/414) to new requirements under the EU agrochemical registration Regulation (1107/2009). The full guidance document on the presentation and evaluation of product dossiers and the format of the draft registration report is still in the process of being updated, the Commission says.
