Bayer creates Middle Africa business region
The Bayer group has opened an office in Lagos, Nigeria to cater for its CropScience and other businesses. It also launched its regional business, Bayer Middle Africa. Bayer group board member Michael Konig reportedly says that the company set up legal entities last year in Lagos, Nigeria and Abidjan, Ivory Coast. "In East Africa, we have set up a new legal entity in Tanzania and a representative office in Ethiopia,” he is quoted as saying. The company has existing offices in South Africa, Kenya, the Ivory Coast (a hub for its West and Central Africa business) and in Morocco.
