The reminder came from EU Health Commissioner Vytenis Andriukaitis at a meeting of the European Parliament’s Environment Committee in June. He was discussing European Commission proposals to allow national restrictions on the use of GM crops and products that hold EU approval for import, processing and use in food and feed.
