Nufarm has made a number of new appointments. The company will split the current role of group executive marketing and portfolio development into two executive positions. Brian Benson was appointed to the executive leadership for innovation, global marketing and business development and Nuseed last year. He will be leaving the company at the end of July after 15 years with Nufarm. The company has promoted Valdemar Fischer as group executive for product and commercial strategy effective August 1st. He is currently working as general manager for Latin America. In his new role, Mr Fischer will lead Nufarm's global product and marketing efforts, partnership strategy, and commercial strategy in collaboration with the company's regional businesses and platforms. Since joining Nufarm in 2010, he has held leadership roles in Brazil, Ecuador, Mexico and the US. The company has also appointed Brent Zacharias as group executive of Nuseed. He is currently general manager of Nuseed. Mr Zacharias joined Nufarm in 2006 holding commercial roles in the North American crop protection business prior to assuming responsibility for Nuseed in 2008. Two new appointments are to be made in Latin America with Mr Fischer’s move to the corporate executive. Luciano Daher has been appointed with immediate effect as country manager, Brazil, where he has been working as commercial director. Mr Daher has been working for 22 years at Nufarm and Agripec, which was acquired by Nufarm in 2007. He will report to an as-yet-to-be-appointed regional manager for Latin America.
