Bayer launches Luna Tranquility in Colombia
Bayer CropScience has debuted its fungicide, Luna Tranquility (fluopyram 125 g/litre + pyrimethanil 375 g/litre), in Colombia. The suspension concentrate formulation is for the control of grey mould (Botrytis cinerea), powdery mildew (Sphaerotheca panoanosa) and leaf mould (Cladosporium echinuatum) on ornamentals. It is applied at 0.8-1.2 litres/ha and extends protection to post-harvest production, Bayer notes. Luna Tranquility was among several fluopyram products Bayer launched in the US in 2012. Fluopyram was first introduced the same year in Turkey as Luna Experience and the UK in a seed treatment.
