Eden gets Maltese approval for 3AEY

UK company Eden Research has received approval from Malta for its biofungicide product, 3AEY, based on the terpene active ingredients, eugenol, geraniol and thymol. The approval is for the prevention and cure of grey mould (Botrytis cinerea) on table and wine grapes. Malta is the zonal rapporteur member state for the ai and following its authorisation, the relevant member states in the southern regulatory zone have 120 days to issue their national approvals. That would allow sales in three of the top five global grape producing countries, the company says. Eden's commercialisation partners such as Sipcam, Redestos and Sumi Agro France are preparing for product launches following authorisation, it adds.
