Brazil Anvisa has 90 days to end glyphosate review
Brazilian courts have set just 90 days for the conclusion of the toxicological re-evaluation of the herbicide, glyphosate, and five other pesticide active ingredients. The federal courts delivered the order to the national health surveillance agency, the Anvisa, following action brought by the public prosecutor’s office, the MPF. The agency is to submit its conclusions to the court. The ai assessments to be included are those for glyphosate, the insecticides, abamectin and carbofuran; the herbicides, lactofen and paraquat; and the fungicide, thiram.
