US industry welcomes trade bill

The US industry association, CropLife America (CLA), has welcomed the passage by Congress of the Trade Promotion Authority Bill. It provides the US with better access to foreign markets and gives President Barack Obama the ability to complete the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) trade pact and other trade agreements that are important to the crop protection industry, CLA points out. "CLA applauds the House and the Senate for setting the stage for transparent trade agreements that benefit our economy, our business and our farmers," says CLA president and CEO Jay Vroom.
