Bayer opens seed treatment equipment facility in US
Bayer CropScience has opened a US-based equipment innovation facility dedicated to its seed treatment (SeedGrowth) business. The SeedGrowth Equipment Innovation Center in Shakopee, Minnesota is a $12 million facility to advance innovation with breakthrough seed technology and integrated crop solutions, Bayer says. The facility houses administrative offices, manufacturing and research and development activity, as well as technical services and training facilities for external customers and Bayer employees. This includes 100,000 sq ft (9,290 m2) of manufacturing space; 35,000 sq ft (3,250 m2) of office, R&D and training facilities; with room at the grounds for 45,000 sq ft (4,180 m2) of expansion.
