Spanish exceptional OK for viral bioinsecticide
Spain’s major southern region of Andalusia has granted exceptional use authorisation to Spodoptera exigua nuclear polyhedrosis virus as a bioinsecticide. It is for the control of beet armyworms (S exigua) on covered peppers. Several grower groups petitioned the approval due to a lack of effective chemical and biological controls. The approval runs from July 10th to November 6th.
