More pending entries on EU biocide suppliers list
Three more companies supplying non-crop pesticides are seeking an entry into the EU list of suppliers of biocidal active ingredients and products. Bayer’s French subsidiary has applied for listing as an active ingredient supplier of the insecticide, clothianidin. UK company Terpenetech has applied as an ai supplier of the insecticide and repellent/attractant, geraniol. Italian company Zapi has applied as an ai and product supplier of the insecticide, imidacloprid. The companies are among a list of 35 pending applications at the end of June, for which the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) has not yet taken a decision. The ECHA is issuing updated lists of pending applications to increase transparency ahead of the September 1st deadline for inclusion in the EU suppliers list. From September, products cannot be sold unless the relevant ai supplier or product supplier is on the list. It forms part of the implementation of the EU biocidal products Regulation (528/2012).
