Arcadia/Bioceres/TMG in stress tolerant soy deal
US agricultural biotechnology company Arcadia (Davis, California), the Argentine soybean development consortium, Bioceres (Rosario), and Brazilian company Tropical Melhoramento e Genética (TMG) have reached an agreement to develop soybean varieties based on the HB4 stress tolerance trait. The HB4 trait was developed by Verdeca, a soybean technology joint venture between Bioceres and Arcadia. It enables plants to adapt to multiple environmental stresses and achieve higher yields. TMG supplies germplasm to the venture for Verdeca’s technology and regulatory expertise.
