SGS adds field testing stations in Brazil
Swiss inspection, verification, testing and certification company SGS has established a further three field testing stations in Brazil, and is expanding an existing site. The new stations are located at Primavera do Leste in Mato Grosso state, Luis Eduardo Magalhães in Bahia state and Petrolina in Pernambuco. The company already operates six stations in five other states, one of which at Restinga Seca, Rio Grande do Sul is to be expanded. SGS tests new pesticides, seed varieties and fertilisers, as well as carrying out trials on genetically modified crops.
