DuPont seeks NZ OK for oxathiapiprolin
DuPont has applied to the New Zealand Environmental Protection Authority to import the fungicide, Zorvec Enicade (oxathiapiprolin 100 g/litre) for the control of downy mildew (Peronospora destructor) on onions. The product is formulated in France with active ingredient from Germany. The oil dispersion formulation is for foliar application through boom sprayers. The maximum application rate would be 35 g ai/ha with up to two applications per crop cycle. The US EPA recently proposed the approval of oxathiapiprolin for use on a range of vegetables, turf and ornamentals. The New Zealand application is open to public comment until September 3rd.
