Bayer expands innovation centre in Mexico
Bayer CropScience has initiated a “relaunch” of its Mexican technology innovation centre in Querétaro. The company is expanding the centre that it opened in 2009. New facilities are to be added that will increase the number of trials and projects undertaken by 10-15% per year on water stress applied to the remote monitoring of crops, among other technologies. Bayer rates the facility as having become a global point of reference for research and data on chemical biological control effectiveness. It cites Mexican agricultural conditions as allowing a “permanent evaluation of crop protection products”.
